The new rack offers over 6" of rack travel, which provides the maximum turning radius for classic and street rod applications. The rack and pinion gear set is improved over the OE factory design; engineered to provide ultimate strength characteristics.

Outside, the new Flaming River rack is significantly different from previous designs.
	Billet aluminum spool valve housing with heat sink design for lower operating temperatures
	Longer rack piston tube – added strength, increased rack stability
	Low-profile pressure hose design – reduces most installation obstacles. Low-profile 90-degree inlet fittings allow the pressure hoses to hug the rack tube, for added clearance.
Internally, the rack has all-new valving, seals, bearings and bushings plus pinion and rack gears. The unit is also lighter – yet stronger – weighing12 pounds less than the original stock cast racks.

OEM Style Flexible coupling "Rag" Joint
These flexible couplings are used in many OEM style applications to absorb vibration and power steering noise. Flaming River rag joints are designed with a 3/4DD male to bolt inside 1"DD column.
