The Flaming River Performance Vega style steering box is an all NEW unit designed specifically for street rods. This box is 30% stronger than the OEM box and utilizes the latest technology with a smooth needle bearing design. This new design far outlasts the original bushing design of the 70's.
NEW high tech chromed cap included.
Factory marked center position.
Smooth needle bearing design for longer life.
Direct bolt-In replacement.
One Year Warranty
Heavy-duty worm gear and roller bearing design is 30% larger than original for smoother, more
   comfortable steering end to end.
Crowned Sector - Higher torque at center position reduces vibration and provides for more
   natural return of steering wheel.
IMPORTANT: Not Recommended for Vehicles over 3,000 lbs.

Use in motorsport activities voids all warranties. NOT designed for Circle Track Use!

Flaming River now makes a new direct bolt-in steering system for your early Nova to eliminate the long shaft and sloppy, worn out steering box. This new box design mounts with a convenient chassis bracket and features a quick steering ratio of only 3.5 turns lock-to-lock compared to the original 6 turns.
This allows for an overall improved steering response. Since the early Nova used a slave cylinder, this same manual box can be used with either the power or manual system. We've included virtually everything you need for a clean, simple installation right down to the u-joints and steering column!
