55-57 Chevy Rack & Pinion Steering Kits


COMPLETE Conversion Kit with Tilt Column
No Cutting, Drilling or Welding to the Chassis

Flaming River has now engineered the popular rack and pinion cradle systems for the 55-57 Chevy with power or manual steering. This system replaces the early long shaft steering box with a new Power Rack & Pinion. By mounting the rack on the cradle system, we not only reinforce the chassis, but also provide increased ground clearance. This true fixture welded mounting cradle fits between the frame rails and bolts in place using the original chassis location. No suspension modification is required and the system installs easily with hand tools. Full turning radius is engineered into the system.

Kits Include:
Stainless Steel Tilt Column, Female Connector, Hazard Kit, Quick Ratio Rack & Pinion Cradle Sytem, 3 Billet U-Joints, Shafting, Support Bearing with Bracket, Type 2 Variable Pressure Pump, Billet Pump Bracket, Billet Aluminum Reservoir. Outer Tie Rod Ends (67-68 Camaro) Are Not Included with the kit. Power Steering Pump Pulley is included, but not the crankshaft pulley or belt.

Note:
The ZOOPS pump bracket supplied with the kit works with the 55-57 Chevy original front motor mounts!
