Carburetors
have to perform several different jobs, including controlling the float
level, atomizing the fuel into a useable air/fuel mixture in the proper
proportions, and transition smoothly between circuits. Each of these
variables and more has an influence on how the engine performs. Your
engine relies on the carburetor to perform impeccably under any condition,
and any aspect out of adjustment affects the operation of the entire
engine. A precisely tuned, quality-built carburetor should be able to
handle the rigors of daily driving while delivering consistent, outstanding
street performance day in and day out. Our carburetors are up to the
task. Every Edelbrock carburetor is manufactured by Magneti Marelli
Powertrain USA Inc. and has been specifically designed and tuned by
Edelbrock engineers to provide the widest overall torque range. For
unmatched street performance, combine them with Edelbrock Performer,
Performer Air-Gap, Performer EPS, Performer RPM, RPM Air-Gap or Torker
II manifold and camshaft combinations, as well as most stock and other
aftermarket manifolds of similar design. |
| Exceptional Features of Edelbrock Carburetors |
Several
characteristics make our carburetors outstanding street performers.
The first one is that they use metering rods to transition between circuits.
They are unaffected by engine backfires, which means that there are
no power valves to blow out, and the rods can be changed in seconds
without carburetor removal or fuel draining. Secondly, they have the
unique ability to "hold a tune", so once they're tuned, they
stay tuned. What this means to you is that compared to other carburetors,
the performance remains consistent and the calibration stays unchanged.
The lightweight all-aluminum body is compatible with gasohol and blended
fuels, features a two piece body that resists warping and is ball-burnished
for a bright finish. The simple tub-type bowls and rear-pivot floats
all contribute to a carburetor that's reliable, user-friendly, and is
easily tuneable for miles and miles of trouble-free operation. |
