1955 - 1964 Chevy Power Steering Boxes

is truly the best of its kind. It is the only box on the market today manufactured with a one piece housing, “no welding,” all new parts, uses original pitman arm and has a 14-1 ratio.
CPP’s 500 Series box has been factory-tested to ensure quality that you have come to expect from Classic Performance.
This direct replacement for the 605 produces excellent road feel and driver feedback eliminating leaky, sloppy steering!

The old power steering boxes have a snap ring at the sector gear that inevitably causes leaks due to movement of the sector shaft. The CPP 500 box has a bolt-on cap that allows zero movement and a dependable, leak-free seal. Mounting bosses are integrated into the casting, eliminating the need for an external bracket. It will line up perfectly to your column without shims! Requires use of non-power steering pitman arm. Original power steering cars can use the Centerlink Adapter available below.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Steering ratio: 14:1
Input shaft is 3/4”-30 spline (the same as the 605 box)
Sector shaft is 1” 36-4 tapered spline, the same as the original 1955-64 pitman shaft
Pressure fitting is 7/16 tube (11/16-18 inv. fl.)
Return fitting is 3/8 tube (5/8-18 inv. fl.)

500 Series™ Power Steering for 1958-64 Chevrolet
CPP’s new CP50003 power steering conversion gearbox for the 1958-64 Chevrolet is the newest member to the 500 Series™ Power Steering family. All CPP 500 Series™ power steering boxes are the key components to a high performance modern style power steering system. The CP50003 features a 14:1 ratio unit which provides superior directional control and road feedback, as well as a more stable feel to the driver.
CPP engineered the recirculating ball gears for low friction and increased steering response. An open centered, rotary type valve provides smooth operation throughout the steering range while retaining excellent road feel. For the 1958-64 full-size Chevrolet, the 500 Series™ is a direct replacement for the manual steering box and is “bolt on” easy to install. Another unique feature is the mounting bosses which are integrated into the casting, eliminating the need for an external bracket and lining up perfectly to your column without shims. Works with both the original and aftermarket steering columns and sway bars. This is the very best gearbox available on the market today to convert your full-size Chevrolet to power steering!

This Centerlink Adpater screws onto the end of the draglink in place of the factory power steering Control valve. Allows for simple conversion from factory power steering to 500 Series power steering. Works with factory power steering pitman arm.

55-57 Steering Column Bushing W/Bearing
Anyone installing a Tri-5 Rack & Pinion kit on their Chevy with a stock column should check this out! This bearing kit is not designed for factory shifter columns but may be used with modification to the lower shift arm.

55-57 Chevy Steering Column Shaft
Use this shaft if you want to convert to late model power steering but want to use the original steering column. With this shaft, you don't have to cut up the original steering box and shaft. The shaft is splined to accept the factory style flex joint. End spline is 3/4"-36.
