Convert manual to power steering. Kits include
Borgeson's 600 Power Steering Box, Pump, Bracket, 2 Row Pump Pulley,
Floor Mount, Hoses and Rag Joint.
Original power steering cars require #BRG990001 Drag Link Adaptor
or a drag link from a stock non-power car.
On some SBC SWP applications a 3rd row crank pulley may be necessary
if 2nd row is already being used.
You may use #BRG990008 Column Shaft if you'd like to retain your
stock column. It replaces the stock shaft and has a 3/4"-36
spline to connect to the rag joint supplied in kits. |
Note:
Original columns must be modified and shortened approximately
1-3/4" to accommodate the new box and rag joint. This works
well with non-shift columns, and we recommend using #MAV8020490
support bearing listed below to complete the installation.
Warning:
If you have a column with a factory shifter, the modification
is possible but it requires extensive re-working of the factory
shift arms and should be attempted only by a qualifed metal fabricator
with proper tools!
