Needle Bearing Universal Joints
| BORGESON U-joints are machined in their factory on state of the art CNC equipment from steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. On-going engineering and testing ensures that components meet or exceed current automotive production vehicle requirements. Any of the 3 “Double D” (a round shaft with two flats) yokes, 13 different spline size yokes, and their new ‘94 and later Mustang rack “V” yoke can be combined to mate components from many different manufacturers. The single’s operate at angles up to 35° and the doubles up to 70°. | BORGESON needle bearing u-joints have the distinct advantage of lasting as much as 10 times longer than non-needle bearing joints. We recommend only needle bearing u-joints for vehicles that are used on the street. |  |
| The BORGESON needle bearing u-joints have no backlash or radial play. They are permanently lubricated and sealed and require no maintenance. |
| Why use a Borgeson Needle Bearing Universal Joint? |
 |
Needle bearing u-joints have the distinct advantage of lasting much longer than non-needle bearing U-joints. Borgeson recommends only the needle bearing u-joints for use on street vehicles. |

Borgeson u-joints are made of specially selected steel and aluminum for strength and longevity and the sealed precision needle bearings never need maintenance. Needle bearing u-joints outlast non-needle bearing joints by a factor of 10 to 1. |
|
Borgeson needle bearing joints have zero backlash (radial play) for more precise steering and a better feel for the road. |
|
Although non-needle bearing joints are stronger than the same size needle bearing joint, this strength is offset by the maintenance required and the longevity factor. |
|
Non-needle bearing joints should be lubricated with each use and a rubber boot should be used to retain lubrication. |
|
Boots are not recommended for use with needle bearing joints. |
